Scaling AI in 2025 is All About Flexibility and Speed

Everything we saw, heard and learned at the 2025 AI DevSummit
For the first time, the Voltage Park team packed up some banners, a couple of laptops, and a lot of ‘artificially intelligent’ swag to make our conference booth debut at the AI DevSummit in South San Francisco. This year’s summit gathered roughly 2,000 developers, researchers and enterprise teams under one roof for a snapshot of the state of building with - and for - artificial intelligence in 2025.
From LLM infrastructure to end-to-end Ops, the conversations we had gave us a unique opportunity to gather solution ideas directly from developers, and bring those ideas back to our engineering teams.

Based on the conversations we had across the two-day summit, here's what developers and builders want us to solve for in the near future:
More Freedom, Less Friction
The humans behind AI want flexibility: in frameworks, deployment, infrastructure, even levels of support and pricing. They’re looking to reduce the existing infrastructure friction that is currently slowing them down. They don’t want to introduce more layers of complexity.
AI workflows are evolving fast, and those in the trenches want cloud compute solutions that move at their speed. Between time and budget considerations they can’t always control, it doesn’t make sense to resource a net-new data center to house their GPUs, which is good, because that’s what we came to this conference to talk about.
Most Common Question from AI Devs
The most common question we got at this event was whether Voltage Park is a hardware company.
No, Voltage Park is a cloud compute company.
Specifically, we are a neocloud provider similar to Coreweave, Lambda and Nebius.

Most Surprising GPU Conversation
We call this the “Google credits story.”
One attendee told us she is sitting on a pile of Google credits, and had no idea we existed. The way those credits work is you get into a contract with that legacy provider and then you’re locked in for an extended amount of time.

What We’d Like to See at the 2026 AI DevSummit
As exciting as this year’s summit was, we hope the 2026 summit includes:
- More researchers sharing how they’re using GPU-powered compute for their projects (scientific or otherwise).
- More exchange of ideas from alternatives in the space, especially as the limitations of legacy providers becomes more clear as the AI evolution marches on.
- More interactive demonstration displays. We love to see what other companies are working on and quick visual interactions help us all picture the work happening in this industry.
